“I am so impressed with the Support Line. The counsellors have supported my clients so well, the strategies suggested are very good and the support is absolutely in line with how we (Allied Health Professionals) are working with clients.”

Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service After Hours Service

After having made tremendous sacrifices in serving our country, many veterans sadly experience a wide range of social and psychological distress as a result of their service. The VVCS After Hours Service provides free, professional, tailored support to Australian veterans of war and peacekeeping operations and their families.

As the after-hours component of the Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service (VVCS), the VVCS After Hours Service ensures 24/7 service provision for veterans and their families.

Thousands of calls are answered each year by On the Line’s counsellors, who are comprehensively trained in the issues specific to the veteran community. The service remains a vital source of support for our returned servicemen and women.
